Wakes is a personal project thats been a passion of mine on and off for over 30 years with the sole aim of producing electronic music to stand up to the big commercial tracks from writing, performing, producing, mixing, mastering and releasing.
Working alone from my home studio in West London, I am proud of my small achievements some of which include:
‘A Balearic Dream’. The fastest climber in the BT ‘Get Out There’ online Dance chart in 99.
‘No Ground, No Fans’ (featuring the Wealdstone Raider) went viral on the internet and was very briefly backed by the Daily Mirror for the Christmas number one of 2014 before eventually losing out to the ‘official’ version (Got no fans) which reached no.5 in the U.K. singles chart.
There are no expectations at Wakes music, only to keep the music alive, there are no rivalries, no egos and no images to uphold. The only winner is the music, long may it continue. Love and respect. 😊
